Features
|
|
- Containers: 15, 30, 35, or 55-gallon.
- Speed: Four drums per minute.
- Patterns: 55-gallon - four per
pallet
30 and 35-gallon - five per pallet
Note: Pattern can be easily field-modified
for other patterns.
- Pallets: 48" x 48"
or 42" x 48" steel,
wood, or plastic pallets.
Note: System can be configured
for other sizes of pallets.
- Controls: Allen Bradley®
SLC503 programmable logic controller,
24VDC.
- Allen Bradley® form 800
pushbutton and selector switches
- Allen Bradley® form 100
and form 140 motor starters and
overloads housed in a NEMA 4 wall
mounted enclosure with fused disconnect.
- Power Supply: 24VDC regulated
power supply; supplies all control
voltage.
- Motors: ¾ hp, 220/440
3ph TEFC.
- Photo Cells: Banner Q45 infrared
photo cells.
Wiring: THHN 14 gauge - power;
16 AWG - controls.
- Enclosure: NEMA 4.
- Ball screws and ball nuts: Warner
1½" x ½ "
lead; positions load in the X
and Y directions; provides fast
yet accurate placement (+ 1/8")
of containers. Includes proximity
switch to count screw revolutions;
eliminates chain and gear boxes
and their inherent mechanical
problems and inaccuracies.
|
- Air cylinders: Festo air cylinders
that are lubed for life; raise
and lower the drum to place on
the pallet; clamps the drum at
the pick up position and activates
the support pins at the pallet
dispenser.
- Lift table: mounted at the pallet
dispenser; raises and lowers the
pallet stack to prepare a pallet
for dispensing; includes a self
contained hydraulic pump to raise
and lower the lift table.
- X and Y lift table: moves containers
in the X and Y directions to place
containers on the pallet; moved
by the ball screws and ball nut;
ball screw is driven by an air
motor; the X and Y tables move
on Thompson linear bearings that
move on 1½" diameter
Thompson linear shafting and support
rails.
- Coating: epoxy powder coated
- a thermally applied process
that includes sandblasting all
structural support members to
white metal. After blasting, the
material is immediately moved
to an oven for powder coating.
This provides a superior coating
to painting since the metal is
heated to 350°F before the
powder is electrostatically applied.
Frame is Safety Blue and all moving
components are Safety Red.
- Pallet conveyors: all roller
conveyors are 2-9/16" diameter,
7 ga. rollers on 4½"
centers, with 51" between
the frames.
- Drum conveyors: 2-9/16"
diameter, 7 ga. rollers on 4"
centers, with 27" between
frames.

Sequence
of Operation
|
|
Drums arrive at the palletizer
via the inlet conveyor (by others
or as optional equipment) and
are transferred to the staging
conveyor (provided). When a drum
arrives at the end of the staging
conveyor it is clamped and lifted
for placement on the pallet. When
a pallet is full, it is discharged
to the exit conveyor. The next
pallet is released by the pallet
dispenser and the cycle repeats.
Please note our system does not
require slip plates or pusher
bars for placement. These devices
are high maintenance items and
they handle the drums roughly.
Our system picks the drums up
and places them precisely and
smoothly.
